How selling works
From submission to sold.
- Day 1
Step 1: Submit your car.
Year, make, model, VIN, mileage, photos and the story behind it. It takes a few minutes.
- After review
Step 2: We reach out.
We review every submission. If it's a fit, we go over history, records and modifications, then pick your auction date. Reserve or no reserve is your call.
- The week before
Step 3: Your lineup is announced.
Buyers get a full week to study your car, ask questions, register and think it over. They can even set a proxy bid ahead of time.
- Thursday · 1 PM ET
Step 4: Sold live.
Your car gets its own lot with every bidder watching. When the clock hits zero, we introduce you to the winner.

What kind of cars do you take?
Enthusiast cars and SUVs at every level. If people would stop and watch it sell, it belongs here.
Where does my car need to be?
In the US.
Can dealers sell on FinalLap?
Yes. Owners, collectors and dealers all sell with us. Selling more than one car? Tell us in your submission.
Does it cost anything to list?
A $99 listing fee, paid once your car is approved. No commission on the sale price.
Can I set a reserve?
Yes. Pick reserve or no reserve when you submit, and we'll talk through the number before your car is listed.
What if my reserve isn't met?
The top bidder gets 24 hours to buy your car at the reserve price.
How long until my car sells?
Once your car is accepted and scheduled, it's listed for a full week, then sells live that Thursday at 1 PM ET.
Who handles payment and title?
You and the buyer, directly. We introduce you once your car sells and the buyer's fee is paid.
Do I have to watch the auction?
No, but you'll want to. It's your car's moment.
